It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I continue to serve as the Principal of Carter G. Woodson Leadership Academy.  As we look ahead, I remain committed to leading our school into the next level of being rooted in excellence, equity, and high expectations.  With over 20 years of experience in education, including 11 years in school leadership, I bring a deep passion for student achievement and a clear vision for what’s possible when a school community works together with purpose and intention.

At Woodson, we believe every scholar deserves access to a high-quality education that not only prepares them academically but also nurtures their character and leadership for the changing world of artificial intelligence.  Our team is focused on providing high-quality instruction, cultivating the Core Values of the district, fostering meaningful relationships, and maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.  We know that excellence is not a destination—it’s a daily choice.  That’s why our work is centered on empowering every student, teacher, and staff member to rise to their full potential and to always demand more of themselves and for each other.

As we move forward, I invite our families and community partners to stay actively engaged. Together, we will continue to build a school where greatness is expected, cultivated, and celebrated every day.
